Based in River Falls, WI, Kent Forsland developed our concepts and structures and has patents pending on both the mechanics and design.  Forsland was the founder of Designer Doors, a garage door company specializing in vintage wood doors.  At a trade show, he noticed pool covers which were not very appealing, but did attract alot of attention from the attendees.  Shortly thereafter, he went to Arizona on a vacation, where it was cold and rainy.  Forsland noticed the number of restaurants which couldn't provide enough seating for the "snowbirds" due to the cold and rain on their patios.  From there, Kent had a mission to develop a patio cover which is attractive, easy to use and allows people and businesses to be More Outside, More Often.
